Starting today, Lackawanna Connect Data Desk will publish daily property transaction reports based on public deed recordings from the Lackawanna County Recorder of Deeds.

These posts are designed to be simple and useful:

Recorder-first: we anchor each report to the recording date shown by the Recorder of Deeds.
Verified prices when possible: when the County Assessor has a matching sale record, we show the verified sale price.
Clear labeling: when a price is not yet visible on the Assessor site, we may show Recorder “consideration” (which is not always a true sale price), or mark it as awaiting verification.

Why we’re doing this

Property transfers affect neighborhoods, tax bases, and housing markets — but the information is often scattered and hard to follow. We’re turning public records into a consistent daily update that anyone can scan.
