Feb. 19, 2026 -- The Lackawanna County Emergency Management Agency and the City of Scranton have declared a Code Blue Frigid Weather Alerts for the following nights:

8 p.m. on SUNDAY, Feb. 22, until 7 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 23 (Wind chill 19 degrees)
8 p.m. on MONDAY, Feb. 23, until 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24 (Wind chill 11 degrees)
8 p.m. on TUESDAY, Feb. 24, until 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25 (Wind chill 13 degrees)

Code Blue is a weather alert issued during extreme cold (temperatures expected to drop below 20 degrees), triggering a plan to help vulnerable populations, especially the homeless. Emergency shelter can be found at the following locations:

Anthony's Haven, 409 Olive St., Scranton, open 7 p.m. to 8 a.m.
Weston Field House, 982 Providence Road, Scranton, open at 7:30 p.m.
Community Intervention Center(CIC), 445 North 6th Ave., Scranton, open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (open later if need requires).
